Here is a re-cap from our monthly meeting abstract:
The aim of this session is to present a proposal for
"better thinking about thinking"as it applies to organizations.
Within these organizations one would find elevated consciousness of individual
and collective thinking about systems, variation, knowledge, and psychology.
Enterprise Thinking Organizations benefit from the awareness that "working
together" follows directly from the ability to both "learn together" and "think
together".
This presentation will offer an
introduction to ongoing activities within The Boeing Company to foster a greater
exploration of the contrasts between holistic and mechanistic thinking and
between optimization and sub-optimization. The applicability of
these ideas extends beyond industry to include government, education, and the
community.
