Abstract:

Quality Function Deployment 3-Hour Workshop
Dramatically Improving the Product and Service Design Process While Rapidly Increasing Customer Satisfaction

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is one of the most powerful approaches for developing products and services that deliver value and generate customer satisfaction. Benefits to using QFD are rapid product improvement, increased customer satisfaction, reduction in the total product, process and service development cycle, and increased market share.

Now a key technique in the Six-Sigma and Lean toolbox, QFD provides you the ability to capture and prioritize customer needs, compare your performance with your competitors and identify specific activities to exceed your customer’s expectations and leap frog your competition.

This intensive, hands-on workshop will introduce you and your staff to this enabling tool for today's dynamic environment and provide an opportunity to apply the tools and techniques of QFD.

This workshop will provide the information to gain knowledge in the following topics:

  •   What is Quality Function Deployment?

  •   How Can QFD Help You?

  •   Understanding the Voice of the Customer and QFD

  •   Identifying and Prioritizing Customer Needs and Benefits

  •   QFD and Product and Process Development

  •   Strategic Planning with QFD

Stop using all your time and energy reacting to internal and external customer requirements and dynamic changes. Learn anticipate your customer’s requirements and stay ahead of your competition in this 3-hour workshop. You’ll gain knowledge of the following techniques and be able to put them to work immediately.

  • The 5-step roadmap to successful QFD – discover why some companies are far more effective than others at satisfying their customers.

  • How to use QFD as a communication tool to create synergy and alignment in your organization.

  • Specific hints to build and sustain commitment to the QFD process during development and deployment.

  • Recognize and avoid common QFD pitfalls and mistakes that can cause QFD to fail.
