Are your supplier’s questions leading you to believe your drawings are unclear or ambiguous?

Are you spending a lot of time correcting drawing errors?

Can you answer the following questions?

  1. How can you provide a uniform understanding and interpretation of drawings by all persons and dramatically reduce rework and scrap costs?
  2. What permits a 350% total tolerance on features over conventional +/- Tolerancing?
  3. When can you allow 57% additional "Positional Tolerance" on features when compared to conventional +/- Tolerancing?
  4. Where can you learn how to promote economical manufacturing and inspection methods?
  5. Who can help me find the training and books to understand and apply GDT?

The reference standard for making and reading Engineering Drawings is ASME Y14.5. The standard establishes a common "language" for use in drawings, technical documents, and databases. It defines the methods used to communicate all design aspects for the fabrication and inspection for any manufactured item.

This intense, 5-day course will enable local company’s Design, Manufacturing and Inspection teams to gain a comprehensive and complete understanding of the "Body of Knowledge" necessary to implement this important cost saving methodology. Individuals presently involved in the origination or use of drawings are encouraged to attend this informative presentation. Actual hardware, tooling, and functional gages will be available to provide attendees a hands-on understanding.
