A Black-Belt Professional Certificate Program

 

Institute objectives

  • To present the essential principles of the Six-Sigma improvement methodology to working professionals.
  • To provide participants with the tools and techniques to implement Six-Sigma within their own organizations
  • To facilitate collaboration and communication among practicing Six-Sigma organizations and professionals across a broad range of industries.

MODULE 2 – Analyze

  • Exploratory Data Analysis

  • Hypothesis Testing

  • Multivariate Studies

  • Modeling Relationships Between Variables

 

Module 3 – Improve

  • Design of Experiments

  • Response Surface Methodology

  • Evolutionary Operations

 

module 4 – Control

  • Participant Project Review

  • Statistical Process Control

  • Advanced Statistical Process Control

  • Lean Tools for Process Control

  • Mistake Proofing

  • Measurement System Re-Analysis

The Program concludes with participant Project Report demonstrating effects on business performance.

 Program schedule

Designed for working professionals, the Institute's four modules are spread out over a seven-week period. Four three-day training modules are organized to allow structured implementation of Six-Sigma projects and resulting in actual project ROI and certification of company Black Belts

  • Module 1: Define & Measure - April 18 – 20
  • Module 2: Analyze - May 2-4
  • Module 3: Improve - May 16 - 18
  • Module 4: Control - May 30, 31 and June 1

Project Report and Graduation Day – Saturday June 15

Program Location: Room 115, UCSD Extension, North County Center, 15373 Innovation Drive, San Diego, CA 92128.

Enrollment information

Fee: $3,995 (includes all classroom material costs and meals).  

Note: Enrollment is limited to 30 students and there is a limit of 5 from any one company.  We expect this program to fill - so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
