Now that the year is coming to an end, it's time to clean out the
educational closet for 2006. In doing so, I realize that we've
got quite a lot of new years resolutions from January 2006 that didn't
get fulfilled. However, 2006 was a very busy and productive
educational year for our section as follows:
-
We re-started our educational workshops and held two of them
-
We held several refresher courses
-
We doubled instructor pay and started developing a new instructor pool
-
We offered several educational courses through sponsors
-
We re-started and published 7 new downloadable educational tools
-
We published 7 new articles by our members and or speakers
Current Educational Course Status
I see that our next test is in March which is too close to hold
traditional 10 week classes. However, if you are interested, we
will change our format to a couple Saturdays or every evening during a
week, etc. Contact me if you are interested.
Do you have an ASQ certification and a desire to earn RU's, and cash
while helping our education board plan and or teach courses?

The standard system factor classification of process input variables as
controllable or uncontrollable does not reflect the observed structure of
some processes. Specifically, some factors that are classified as
controllable are actually only semi-controllable. In this paper the classic
variable structure is extended to controllable, semi-controllable, and
uncontrollable. This extension is proposed in an effort to deal more
accurately with real world problems. |
