Abstract
The
presentation is one hour and concerns three areas that are identified as key
problem areas in the field of process improvement; the areas of:

Communication

Relationships
-
Influence
These
areas are linked in significant ways to the success of the individual and the
business in achieving objectives. The information is tailored to an
technical mindset, using concrete models and matrix analysis to convey some of
the abstract concepts involved.
This
presentation is of special interest to anyone seeking to improve their skills
in improving the productivity and reducing the contentious aspects of the
communication element involved in business communication, especially as it
applies to problem solving and process improvement.

Biography
Gregg Oliver has worked as an
individual contributor and manager of engineering and manufacturing
businesses for over 30 years. He holds a BS in Quality Engineering, an
MS degree in Quality Systems Management and is currently the Principal
Quality Engineer for the Reconnaissance Systems Group at General Atomics
Aeronautical Systems in San Diego.
Gregg
is also the Vice Chair for the San Diego section of the American Society for
Quality, and hold certificates in quality engineering, reliability engineering,
and software quality engineering from that organization. His passions are
problem solving and communication.

Certification exams are held in member company meeting rooms around San
Diego and administered by proctors. They are held on Saturday
mornings twice per year as shown in the table below.
