Section Members & Honored Eavesdroppers,

I hope you all have your health and homes.  However, statistically speaking, quite a few of us did lose a house or knew someone close to us that did.  We know we all suffered in some way.  Let us know your story.  Email board@asqsandiego.   [remove this space] .org

There isn't much else to report this week other than:

• we cancelled all classes last week due to the fires

• our CQI will start January 3rd, 2008 and be held at Becton-Dickinson, Sharps Division, Rancho Del Oro, Oceanside.  Rich Ostrin will coordinate and teach this course.     

June Test Numbers

Here are the numbers of attendee's that took our June certification exams.  You can see that 67 people planned to take courses as they signed up for them and paid for them. However, 11 people didn't show up for the test so only 56 people actually took the test as shown in the table below.   

Current Educational Course Status

• Several new courses are now under way (CQI, CQA, CQM/OE, and Stats for CQE and CSSBB).  See details on our refresher course page.

Other Announcements

ISO 9001:2009 1st Draft Assessment

ISO released a first draft copy of what could become the successor of the ISO 9001:2000 standards currently in use.  No drastic change in format, substance, or content was evident.  Most changes were in wording and the addition of notes.  Here's a list of what I found.
